Mission Basundhara : Mor Maati, Mor Adhikar !

‘Mor maati, mor adhikaar’ (my land, my rights) is mendatory for all assamese people . We all know what is happening in Assam and what illegal migrants are doing! Mission Basundhara is a great inisitive by Newly Formed BJP goernment in Assam . Mission Basundhara aims at providing nine land-related services on a mission mode.Under this mission, people can apply for the disposal of land-related problems from October 2, 2021, through a portal – basundhara.assam.gov.in – till November 30, 2021.The nine services under the Mission Basundhara are land mutation by the right of inheritance, land mutation after deed registration, partition for undisputed cases, conversion of 'annual patta' to 'periodic patta', reclassification of land, striking names of persons who are no longer in possession, allotment certificate to periodic patta, legacy data update, mobile number update of pattadaar. If people face any problem while applying through the portal, they can inform their respective circle officers. The government will also provide a toll-free number for that purpose. Earlier, Hari Shankar Brahma suggested few more measures for ensuring land possession by landless indigenous people like completing land surveys in the state. Only proper land surveys can give an exact estimate of available lands in the state for settling the landless indigenous population, he wrote. He also lauded the efforts of the State Government in this regard and said that such steps would give confidence to local people of Assam about preservation of their identity and land rights.
