India’s feat of 100 crore Covid-19 vaccinations could not have been achieved without the efforts of the country’s scientists, health warriors, citizens and the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The feat will give a big boost to the global fight against the pandemic. From promoting wellness to enhancing preventive healthcare, from increasing medical seats to incentivising medical equipment manufacturing, from universal health insurance coverage to creating digital health infrastructure, India’s approach towards healthcare under PM has been holistic and inclusive. It has laid a strong foundation for a healthier and prosperous New India. Shortly, Centre will soon start a mega COVID-19 vaccination campaign 'Har Ghar Dastak' in poor-performing districts aiming to achieve full vaccination by the end of November, said Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya."No district should be without full vaccination," he said during a national review meeting with health ministers of various states and Union territories (UTs), according to a statement by the health ministry. "Har Ghar Dastak campaign to start soon in the poor performing districts to enthuse and motivate people towards full Covid vaccination. Let us aim to cover all eligible with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine by end-November 2021," he said. Meanwhile, the cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 103.99 crore.
