India Administers Over 93 Crore Vaccines, says Govt !

The coronavirus vaccination programme as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in India from coronavirus continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level, the health ministry underlined. The total vaccine doses crossed 93 crore (93,17,17,191) mark as India administered 50,17,753 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours. Out of the total doses administered in the last 24 hours, the maximum of over 47 crore doses have gone to the 18-44 age group followed by people from the 45-59 age group. States and UTs had provided over 94.86 crore doses via central government and through direct procurement. After total vaccine administration till now, over 8.22 crore unutilised doses are still available with the states and UTs. According to the ministry, under the new phase of the universalisation of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, implementation of which started from 21 June, every month 75 per cent of the total vaccine doses being produced by the manufacturers would be procured by the Centre and will be supplied free of cost to states and UTs.A total of 3,32,25,221 patients have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic out of which 24,963 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate now stands at 97.96 percent.
