History says , Moplah riots refer to the anti-Hindu riots carried out by Muslims of the Malabar region in Kerala in 1921. Hindus were butchered, raped, and attacked during these riots. A few months ago, to commemorate the memory of the Moplah riots, the Popular Front of India (PFI), an Islamic extremist organization, organized a rally for affirmation by Islamic chantings, including Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallah muhammadur rasulullah, and others. Now, In a desperate attempt to appease Muslims and win seats in the Malabar region, Kerala Govt-sponsored ‘centenary celebrations’ of Moplah riots will occur in the state. Kerala state library council, controlled by CPM, will organise seven-month-long programs to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the anti-Hindu riots.
