Manipur : CM N.Biren Singh pay tributes to Bir Tikendrajit Singh

 

Bir Tikendrajit Singh was a great patriot and a prince from Manipur, a state in the north-eastern region of India, who laid down his life during India’s struggle for Independence. He was called the ‘Lion of Manipur’ as he fearlessly fought against the British. Today , as part of Patriot’s Day celebrations in Manipur, CM N. Biren Singh laid a wreath with governor Shri Ganga Prasad at Kangla Utra and paid floral tribute to Bir Tikendrajit at Hicham Yaicham Pat who laid his life defending the sovereignty of Manipur against the British establishment. N.Biren Singh tweeted ,"Paid floral tributes to Bir Tikendrajit on this Patriot's Day at Hicham Yaicham Pat. Bir Tikendrajit laid down his life while defending the sovereignty of Manipur against the British Empire. His valour and patriotism will always continue to inspire us".
