Tripura's first fully government English medium college ready to start the journey

Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced that the first government English medium general college in the state is going to start its classes from the academic year 2022-23 and all preparation in this regard is progressing rapidly. Education department has already earmarked 3.20 acres of land at Kumari Tilla which includes the present SCERT complex but it is not sufficient as a minimum of five acres of land is required for setting up a college as per UGC guidelines. He also said under a central government plan the state has already received an allocation of Rs. 19 crores .
