Manipur: Govt files affidavit in SC on Leichombam Erendro

Manipur BJP government filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying activist Leichombam Erendro, deserves no compensation as he faced no custodial violence during detention and accused him of habitually posting insulting comments on social media to incite trouble. Govt said that The 37-yr-old activist is a habitually posting insulting comments on social media to incite trouble. Few months ago, Erendro was detained under the National Security Act (NSA) over the Facebook Post that asserted cow dung or cow urine will not cure COVID-19.
