Arunachal Pradesh has a big role to play in dealing with climate change and global warming. In fact, presiding over the 7th e-Pragati meeting, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that climate change would be discussed specifically in the next cabinet meeting and directed the department to submit a detailed 'Climate Change Management Mission- 2047' document. He also said that Climate Change is a global phenomenon but with local consequences and as India faces a bigger challenge in coping with the effects than most other countries, the Government has devised the ‘Climate Change Management Mission- 2047’ - a roadmap for the State to contribute in the global efforts to take the edge off climate change.
