Assam Govt to Undertake Rs 100 crore for street lighting

In order to make Guwahati- a smart city, the department of Housing and Urban Affairs decides to invest up to Rs 100 crore to light up the entire city. Assam government hopes to complete the project by the next financial year in 2022. Assam State Minister for Minister for the Department of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal tweeted ," Moving another step towards the grand vision of HCM @himantabiswaji to make Guwahati a smart city, Dept of Housing & Urban Affairs decides to invest up to Rs 100 crore to light up the entire city. Let’s make our city bright & make it one of the best cities in the country.”
