Humanity is an eight-letter word. Human, on the other hand, is five. When contextualised based on contemporary society and the happenings, this difference of three letters explains why every human does not characterise humanitarian values. Human trafficking was a big problem in the Northeast. As per data, The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) rescued 20 minor children from various stations in different operations conducted over NFR in the last five days. Northeast India is not just the source of human trafficking but is also a demand and transportation hub. It is a destination for displaced people from other states and even intrastate displacements. Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta already said that more than 100 people have been rescued from human traffickers since the beginning of this year. Out of the 100, 84 were rescued after the Himanta Biswa Sarma government came to power in May. earlier, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa sarma already declared that his government cannot tolerate childhood, the most promising period of one’s life, being snatched away.
