14 arrested in Assam for posting in support of Taliban

Supporting the Taliban is an example of an extremist mindset. Fourteen people were arrested by Assam Police from across Assam for alleged social media posts supporting the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. The arrests were made since Friday night and they have been booked under different sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, IT Act and CrPC. According to the information, two criminals each have been arrested from Kamrup Metropolitan, Barpeta, Dhubri and Karimganj districts and others arrested from Darang, Cachar, Hailakandi, South Salmara, Goalpara and Hojai districts.
