Tripura : Nirmala Sitharaman announces special package of Rs 1300 crores

 

 

 

 

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has arrived in Tripura on a two day visit connection with many inauguration programmes and stock-taking.After Arriving, She was briefed about the various aspects of the state's economy as well as development projects by the chief minister, chief secretary and other officials from prepared notes. She inaugurated 11 infrastructure and development projects at Mohanpur in West Tripura district and assured her ministry would clear a project of Rs 1,300 crore for development of the indigenous communities and their quality of living within a fortnight. She also reviewed a Project for Sustainable Catchment Forest Management in Tripura, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Tripura Urban and Tourism Development Project, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project. She also had a separate meeting with the chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
