A Great Tribute To Shukleshwar Medhi!

30 August 2005, that day was extremely painful for us! We lost our our Sukle dada . Vibhag Karyavaha' of RSS Medhi, a school teacher, was shot dead by militants when he was riding a bicycle to his school in Balitara Dhomdhoma under Ghograpar police station of undivided Nalabari district in Assam. While he was in school, Late Medhi along with his elder brother Hemen Medhi, used to attend the Sangha shakhas. Till the last day, Medhi performed his duties as the Karyavaha (General Secretary) of the Nalbari Dist (Undivided Kamrup District, Barpeta District) along with various duties of the Sangha. For the new generation of swayamsevaks who did not get close to Muruliji(RSS Pracharak ), dearest 'Shukleda' was another form of Muruliji. Late Medhi is no longer with us today but his ideals are still alive with us and amongst us, so a new Shukleshwar Medhi will be born from each shakha of Assam who will be able to stand upright even at times of misery. Perhaps those who killed Medhi do not know that ideals cannot be merely killed with guns.
