BTC Administration Going To Rehabilitate Displaced Santhals, Bodos, Muslims

Now Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is not just for Bodos. Now, All communities will be got equal rights in BTC. BTC administration has decided to rehabilitate thousands of Santhals, Bodos and people from the Muslim community, who were displaced from their villages during ethnic riots and terrorism since 1996. More than 2.5 lakh people were displaced since 1996 due to ethnic conflicts and insurgency-related violence in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The BTC chief Promod Boro also announced that houses would be constructed for the returnees under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other area development plans. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, and the local Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) and the UPPL took over charge of the BTC in December last year, defeating the Congress-led alliance in the polls.
