12,00 Years Old Ancient Sculpture of Goddess Durga found in J&K

We often hear about scientists conducting digs and excavations, and discovering ancient artifacts which are many centuries old. Another such artifact has recently been recovered from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, by a group of common folk working by the river.Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered a 1,200-year-old sculpture of goddess Durga in Budgam district in central Kashmir . Acting on a piece of specific information, the police in Budgam recovered the ancient sculpture from the Khan Sahab area.After the sculpture was recovered by the labourers, it was handed over to the Budgam police in the Khansahib area. The small sculpture ( 12"x8" in size) is of Goddess Durga, who is sitting on a lion throne along with four attendants.
