CBDT extends due date of ITR filing till December 31

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the due date for filing the Income Tax Returns for the assessment year 2021-22 till December 31. The deadline for ITR filing was already extended from July 31, 2021, to September 30, 2021, in view of the disastrous second wave of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic. The due date of furnishing of belated or revised return of Income for the AY 2021-22 has been further extended to March 31, 2022.
