Naga interlocutor R N Ravi appointed new Tamil Nadu Governor

President Ram Nath Kovind ordered shuffling of governors of some states which includes shifting Governor of Nagaland R.N. Ravi transferred as the next Governor of Tamil Nadu. Besides Ravi’s appointment, Banwarilal Purohit, who was Governor of Tamil Nadu till now, has been sent to poll-bound Punjab, and Lt Gen Gurmit Singh, who retired as Deputy Chief of Army Staff, has been appointed the Uttarakhand Governor after incumbent Baby Rani Maurya resigned.

Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, at the present governor of Assam, has been appointed to discharge the functions of the governor of Nagaland in addition to his charge till a fresh appointment is made.
