Proud moment for Assam ! Seven member teachers group of Assam has detected five new asteroids as part of an International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC) Citizen Science Programme. IASC is a partner of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).The teachers who are working as citizen scientists are Rajib Ranjan Dhar, Raja Sarkar, Kangkan Kishor Dutta, Kuldeep Sensua, Debasmita Paul, Dakshina Borkotoky Borah, and Deepak Chetry.They took part in the asteroid search campaigning organised by IASC under the name of Saptarishi VIPNET (India).
