Tripura CM Meets Home Minister on Bru Pact

In 2020, An agreement was signed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah with the governments of Mizoram and Tripura and leaders of internally-displaced Bru tribals for their rehabilitation in Tripura. therefore, Tripura Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb met the union Home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on the same issue of the Brus rehabilitation process. Union Home Minister Amit Shah directed the officials of Tripura govt and Centre to monitor the Brus rehabilitation process on a daily basis. The Ministers also discussed the progress of the permanent settlement of Brus in different parts of Tripura.
