Arunachal Guv assures memorial in memory of martyred soldier

Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra has stressed for building a memorial in honour of valiant soldier Agoi Wangsa of Assam Regiment’s 3rd Battalion, who laid down his life for the motherland after putting in fearless fight against the terrorists in Punjab on 16th June, 1992. APPSC (Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission) member Major General (Retd) Jarken Gamlin and Rajya Sainik board, Arunachal Pradesh member Lt Colonel T C Tayum were present during the meeting. Dr Mishra stressed this when RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam and Longding-Pumao MLA Tanpho Wangnaw called on the former at Raj Bhavan . He also stressed that the memorial should come up at a vintage location of the town so as to make it visible from a distance in order to inspire the youth and many others to emulate the heroism of the late sepoy.
