NSCN-IM Militants gun down Manipur's Naga leader Athuan Abonmai !

  

 

Athuan Abonmai, former president of Zeliangrong Baudi, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland (AMN), who was allegedly abducted from Tamenglong district headquarters on Wednesday morning was found dead in Pallong village under Tamei police station in Tamei sub-division. He has been kidnapped at about 11:30 am by NSCN-IM cadres from Tamenglong headquarters, Pologround. Abonmai’s differences with the NSCN-IM grew in recent times. Social media users condemned the killing and demanded action against the perpetrators of the crime. The police said they were probing the case.Reacting to Abonmai’s murder, the Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) on Thursday condemned the “kidnapping and brutal killing”.
