The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court has suspended the government of Nagaland’s office Memorandum empowering the 76 departments to conduct recruitment examinations. Earlier, The Rising People’s Party (RPP), through a memorandum to the Chief Secretary, asked the state government to withhold filling up of 1,517 posts under 76 Departments.Rising People’s Party (RPP) also filed a PIL at Gauhati High Court against the Nagaland government’s decision over recruitment in various departments.The party alleged that the government notification was solely aimed at justifying ‘rampant backdoor appointments’.
