Corruption Case: 4 criminals arrested by Dhubri police

The Dhubri police arrested two more officials for allegedly siphoning off government funds meant for the development of rural areas in Assam’s Dhubri district. The two has been identified as Gauripur BDO Khabir Uddin Ahmed, Accountant Akhirul Islam. The total number of arrests in connection to this has gone up to four as of today. Earlier, Saddam Hussain, the Block Development Officer and Abdullah Al-Masud Mollah, who worked as the accountant in the office Arrested By Dhubri Police For Corruption in Assam. The officer-in-charge of Dhubri Sadar Police Station, Partha Pratim Gogoi said, "In course of the investigation, the role of involvement in siphoning off the aforesaid amount by the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) and accountant of the Gauripur Development Block appeared and the duo has been arrested accordingly."
