Nagaland: Amended MV Act with enhanced penalties to be enforced from October

Nagaland Government has notified the Motor Vehicle Act 1989 as amended by the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act 2019 which would come into effect within Dimapur district from the month of October 2021. According to Dimapur Traffic Police, the amended Motor Vehicle Act would be enforced in letter and spirit, which has enhanced penalties. The Traffic Police has reminded all concerned to be aware and conversant with the amended Motor Vehicle Act so as to avoid conflict with the law.
