After a weekend that
witnessed continuous rainfall in many areas across north-eastern India, parts
of the region are expected to continue to see wet conditions in the next 3-4
days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall and / or snowfall could reduce the state of Arunachal Pradesh in the next two days, and then subside after that. In addition, separate thunderstorms are on cards in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya from Tuesday to Friday, March 16-19.
In view of these forecasts, IMD has issued a yellow clock for the three states we have mentioned, as well as the neighbouring Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura on Tuesday, March 16. No warnings have been issued. in the region for the next two days, although it is still possible that the level of counselling will be revived last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, similar wet conditions were recorded in the northeast over the last weekend, when disturbances in the west met east winds from the Bay of Bengal, and formed a rift that created instability in the region.
These weather conditions then lead to heavy rains and torrential rains in the north-eastern province, particularly Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya.
